OSS at COP16 in Riyadh “Our Earth. Our future” from December 2 to 13, 2024

The Sahara and Sahel Observatory (OSS) is taking part in the 16th session of the Conference of the Parties (COP16) of the United Nations Convention to Combat Desertification (UNCCD), which is being held in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, from 2 to 13 December 2024, under the theme "Our Land. Our Future".

This event aims to mobilize the international community to speed up actions for land resilience and the fight against desertification. The OSS will be presenting a diversified program, reaffirming its commitment to sustainable land management and the fight against desertification. It will also be an opportunity to strengthen existing partnerships and establish new ones for collective action to face environmental and climate challenges.

In addition, the OSS will be hosting a stand in Structure A, location A05, where B2B meetings will be held to exchange with partners and strengthen strategic collaborations.

Side events will be organized to share experiences, promote innovative tools and encourage initiatives for sustainable management of natural resources in Africa. Here follows the detailed program:
